Understanding, Supporting and Treating Victims and Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse – A specialist CPD training workshop Written and presented by The Lantern Project. The training takes place at our New Brighton based training centre and includes lunch, learning materials and LP publications.

Course Objectives

  • To obtain a better understanding of the health, social and economic consequences of childhood sexual abuse.
  • To understand the needs of victims and survivors, to ensure safe working and avoid unintended secondary wounding.
  • To explore Unstructured Therapeutic Disclosure.

Our one day information workshop

There is a minimum price for 5 or less delegates. This would increase for 6 or more delegates. This includes lunch and a copy of our guide to survivors.

  • Provision of the text book and DVD films as above, the case study of Dirty Little Bastard by Alan Wilson

Two day accreditation workshop

Our accreditation process to enable practice of our model is as follows: A two day course of information and discussion of “Understanding and Treating The Life-long Consequences of Childhood Sexual Abuse”. This is the title of our new Book.

  • CPD training workshop
  • Provision of the text book and DVD films as above, the case study of Dirty Little Bastard by Alan Wilson
  • Full email and back up service to trainee
  • Two assessments of competency at 6 and 12 months, conducted by our trained Peer Counsellors
  • Accreditation of UTD with certificate on completion of both 6/12 monthly competency assessments.
  • Lunch
